Nasya Panchakarma Treatment
Nasya Panchakarma Treatment in Ayurveda
Dr. Amar’s Shree Vishwa Anand Health Care – Chembur, Mumbai
At Dr. Amar’s Panchakarma Center, Chembur, we offer authentic Nasya treatment in Mumbai, a unique Ayurvedic therapy focused on cleansing and nourishing the head region. It is one of the five classical Panchakarma therapies and plays a vital role in maintaining the health of the nose, sinuses, brain, and sense organs.
In Ayurveda, the nose is considered the gateway to the head (Shiras Dwar) — hence, administering medicated oil or herbal extracts through the nostrils helps eliminate toxins and strengthen the nervous system.
What is Nasya Panchakarma?
Nasya involves the instillation of medicated oil, ghee, or herbal juice through the nostrils.
It is a specialized treatment for disorders related to the head, neck, and respiratory system.
Depending on the condition and dosha involvement, Nasya can be of different types:
Virechan Nasya (Purification) – Removes toxins and excess Kapha from the head.
Brimhana Nasya (Nourishing) – Strengthens nerves and tissues.
Shamana Nasya (Palliative) – Reduces inflammation and balances doshas.
Marsha / Pratimarsha Nasya – For daily or therapeutic use with Anu Taila or similar medicated oils.
