Ayurvedic Consultation for Digestive Problems in Chembur
Discuss digestive discomfort, bowel changes or other concerns with Dr. Amar Shinde, MD (Ayurveda). Your symptoms, medical history and current care guide assessment rather than a standard treatment package.
Describe the pattern, not just the label
Explain when symptoms occur, their duration, changes in bowel habits and their effect on eating or daily life. Discuss current medicines, diagnosed conditions, previous treatment and relevant reports.
Additional medical examination or investigations may be needed. This page does not diagnose the cause of digestive symptoms or replace care for an existing digestive condition.
Classical concepts with clear clinical limits
Nadi Parikshan (traditional Ayurvedic pulse assessment) and Prakruti Analysis form part of Dr. Amar Shinde's traditional assessment. They do not replace appropriate medical examination, diagnostic investigations, medical monitoring or referral.
Ayurveda discusses digestion through traditional concepts such as Agni. These concepts do not prove removal of unspecified toxins or provide a substitute for an established medical diagnosis.
The whole-person assessment brings together your complaints, medical history, diet, lifestyle and relevant medical evaluation with Prakruti, Nadi Parikshan and the traditional Ayurvedic concept of Agni (digestive function). These classical concepts help frame an individualized Ayurvedic plan; they are not substitutes for a medical diagnosis or investigations.
Food habits, lifestyle and suitable care
Discuss meal routines, food preferences, work schedules and practical lifestyle changes rather than assume the same diet suits everyone.
Dr. Amar Shinde, MD (Ayurveda), specializes in Swasthavritta & Yoga, with expertise in diet and lifestyle modification. A separate comprehensive diet and lifestyle service is available following detailed evaluation; its personalized PDF report is charged separately from the standard consultation.
Classical Ayurveda considers Agni and dosha patterns as part of an individual digestive-care plan. After detailed assessment, the physician may discuss Virechana (physician-selected purgation) or Basti (decoction-based or oil-based administration through the rectal route) in selected circumstances. The supportive intention is to address your concerns within a broader care plan, not to promise a disease cure or removal of unspecified toxins. Ordinary digestive symptoms alone do not justify these procedures. Selection requires suitability assessment, interaction review, preparation, supervision, monitoring and aftercare, with medical investigations or referral where appropriate. Do not undertake self-cleansing, purgation or home Basti based on this page.
Follow-up and further assessment
Discuss how symptoms and response to the plan will be reviewed. Continue appropriate prescribed care and seek additional assessment if symptoms persist or worsen.
Severe or sudden symptoms may require urgent medical care rather than waiting for an Ayurvedic consultation or WhatsApp response. No cure or fixed recovery period is promised.
After individual assessment, Dr. Amar Shinde may prescribe Ayurvedic medicines that he personally prepares in the clinic's in-house pharmacy for patients under his care. These medicines are not sold commercially, through retail outlets, or outside the clinic. Medicines may be prescribed even when Panchakarma is not undertaken; medicines are optional and procedures are not mandatory. Medicine charges are separate and are explained by the clinic; no prices are published here.
Do not stop or alter prescribed conventional medicines without the approval of your prescribing clinician. Bring details of all medicines and supplements so possible interactions and treatment suitability can be reviewed. Maintain necessary medical monitoring and seek appropriate referral or additional medical assessment when indicated.
Follow-up is tailored to your symptoms, treatment response and monitoring needs. Contact the clinic about adverse reactions, new symptoms or worsening symptoms.
