Potli Swedana & Patra Pinda Sweda in Chembur

Patra Pinda Sweda / Potli Therapy: traditional herbal-bolus fomentation considered after assessment for selected neck, shoulder, back and knee complaints.

You can enquire about a session directly. A separate doctor consultation is not automatically required; suitability screening still applies, and the clinic advises if a doctor assessment is needed. Clinic staff explain prices, available slots and suitability before confirming the appointment; an enquiry does not confirm a slot.

What Patra Pinda Sweda means

Patra Pinda Sweda is a traditional form of Swedana in which prepared herbal boluses are used to apply warmth to selected body areas. The preparation and application are chosen individually; this page does not provide a home-treatment method.

Its traditional supportive purpose is to address selected discomfort and stiffness within an Ayurvedic plan. It does not repair discs, reverse degeneration or promise a cure for arthritis.

Selection follows assessment

Dr. Amar Shinde, MD (Ayurveda), reviews complaints, medical history, current medicines, diet and lifestyle alongside traditional Nadi Parikshan, Prakruti Analysis and Agni assessment. These traditional Ayurvedic concepts do not replace medical examination, appropriate investigations or specialist referral.

Pain can arise from different conditions. Review the diagnosis, symptoms, recent injuries, skin sensitivity and current treatment before deciding whether warmth-based therapy is suitable. Necessary medical evaluation must not be delayed.

Safety during the session

Discuss impaired sensation, heat sensitivity, skin conditions, injuries and other health concerns with the physician. Temperature, application and tolerance need appropriate supervision; warmth is not suitable for everyone.

Report burning, irritation, dizziness or increasing pain promptly. Further assessment or referral may be needed. No fixed formulation, temperature, session duration or course is prescribed here.

Aftercare and next steps

Follow individualized advice about skin care, activity and review. Persistent or worsening symptoms need medical assessment rather than repeated unsupervised heat treatment.

Follow-up is individualized to review symptoms, tolerability and relevant medical monitoring. Report adverse reactions or worsening symptoms promptly. An enquiry does not confirm an appointment; the clinic confirms appointments directly.
